BIO
Since 2006, when he first burst onto the Texas music scene, he has released some widely anticipated mixes and developed a sound that draws from a plethora of genres, pushing musical boundaries to new limits. DJ Fire recently released his first electronic dance single, “Enter the Fire,” while working on his first album titled “A Southern State of Mind.” Opening for some of the most prominent performers from Adana Howard to Keyshia Cole, DJ Fire is a pioneer DJ, blowing away convention while ushering in a new wave of modern sounds. “DJ Fire,” born Paul Durisseau, is a native of La Marque, TX; Fire spent most of his life between Texas & Louisiana. As a teenager, he got into music while touring with a longtime family friend “, Andrus J Espre, better known on the Zydeco Circuit as “Beau Jocque”. While attending Prairie View A&M University, Fire became one of the first DJs in the U.S. to use a laptop to DJ without controllers or conventional DJ equipment. Later, DJ Fire went on to join server DJ Coalitions, where he ended up working with major record labels like Atlantic, Interscope & Capitol Records in breaking tracks for many of the music industry hottest artists today. In 2012, DJ Fire received recognition from Interscope Records and an award for being one of a few DJs in the country contributing to the success of Mary J Bilges’ radio hit “Mr. Wrong” Featuring Drake. Today, DJ Fire is the official DJ of the legendary South Park Coalition, holding affiliations with the Screwed Up Click and the Wreckless Klan Music Groups.
